Rocky Mountain Power preparing for high winds in Wyoming, customers should prepare for potential outages

SALT LAKE CITY (March 10, 2026) — Rocky Mountain Power is monitoring a strong weather system expected to bring high winds to Wyoming this week. These conditions could cause weather-related outages.   
 
Rocky Mountain Power currently has crews and resources on standby, ready to respond to any outages that may occur. 
 
The company encourages all customers to immediately report outages, as customer reporting helps crews to pinpoint the cause and facilitates restoration efforts.  
 
Ways customers can report outages include:  
 
  • Call 877-508-5088  
  • Use the Rocky Mountain Power app 
  • Text OUT to 759677 for reporting and STAT for updates  
 
Customers view outages in their area through the Rocky Mountain Power outage map.  
 
Preparation tips and safety information is also at rockymountainpower.net. 
 
Always treat downed wires as live and dangerous, and keep people and pets far away from those areas.
