Two GoFundMe accounts have been set up for Glenrock residents following a shop fire in the early morning hours of July 5.
Glenrock Fire Chief Shon Lindsey confirmed that the building, owned by Kori and Dan Wulf, and everything in it, was a total loss. The cause of the fire was fireworks in a trash can, Lindsey said.
The Wulf family was awakened about 4 a.m. Saturday morning by police knocking on the door. They were told to evacuate the house.
Among the Wulf’s numerous possessions in the shop were also tack and other items that two children, Damani and Taliyah Baughman (who are members of the Sand Creek 4-H Club), were planning to use to show their pigs in the Converse County Fair this week, according to a family friend involved in helping the Wulf family following the fire.
The Wulfs are deeply involved in 4-H and are huge supporters of the program, and were helping Damani and Taliyah with learning about agriculture and showmanship, the friend said.
THE KIDS
The Sand Creek 4-H Club is the sponsor behind the two fundraisers.
“Early this morning two of our 4-H families suffered a devastating loss. One lost their entire shop to fire, and the other lost every bit of their show supplies and tack for county fair, which is less than two weeks away.
“The animals are safe, but these wonderful kids could really use the community’s help replacing the supplies. Please donate if you can, and keep both families in your prayers,” reads the description on the GoFundMe website for the two children.

According to the club’s leaders, the kids’ tack, bedding, feed, show sticks and other supplies were in the shop when it burned.
This is the children’s second year of showing their animals at county fair. They are hoping to be able to still show their animals as folks rally around to help them however they can – with gear, and donations to the fundraising account to replace what they lost.
If / when that happens, be sure to attend the Converse County Fair’s Jr. Livestock Sale and big on Damani’s and Taliyah’s pigs.
THE WULF FAMILY
The Wulfs were “able to save the house but unfortunately they lost everything in their shop. Please help us rally around this family - keep them in your prayers and donate some if you can,” reads the information on the GoFundMe page.
