Board of Commissioners of Converse County

The regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. on May 16, 2017. Present were Chair Rick Grant, Vice-Chair Robert Short, Commissioners Mike Colling, Tony Lehner, Jim Willox and County Clerk Lucile Taylor.

Sgt. Dan Maidl, CCSO, provided materials for Courthouse Security and reviewed various items for future discussion. Mr. Colling moved to approve the Right of Way Permit, Balidor Oil & Gas, 8” gas pipeline, Twenty Mile Road (CR 46), Mr. Lehner seconded, motion carried.

The minutes of the regular meeting on May 2 and 3, 2017 were approved and ordered filed.

Mr. Willox moved to approve the Janitorial Agreement for the Public Health Building, Linda Alley, $1000.00/month, ending June 30, 2019, Mr. Lehner seconded, motion carried.

The Commission granted a variance to the Fire Ban, should there be one, for the Deer Creek Muzzle Loaders for their 3-day shoot on June 16-18, 2017.

Mr. Short moved to void warrants 47740 Peggy Middleton, 184.44; 48985 Boys & Girls Club of Central WY 6000.00, Mr. Colling seconded, motion carried. Mr. Willox moved to approve Change Order No. 10, $93,681.00, Sampson Construction, revised Agreement amount of $24,907,396.00, Mr. Lehner seconded, motion carried. The City of Douglas will also have to approve.

Mr. Hal Hutchinson gave an update on the 1¢ projects and reviewed the CC Joint Justice Center project. The regular meeting recessed at 12:00 p.m. and reconvened at 12:59 p.m.

Mr. Short moved to go into Executive Sessions at 12:59 p.m. per pursuant to WSS 16-4-405 (a)(ii), Mr. Lehner seconded, motion carried.

The Executive session ended and the regular meeting reconvened at 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Colling moved to approve the Agreement for Housing Prisoners at Johnson County, $65.00/day per inmate, Mr. Lehner seconded, discussion: generally during the dates of the Eclipse in Aug 2017, motion carried.
