Try to sit back and relax

The first part of September has been a whirlwind. Between flooding and destroyed homes from Harvey, Irma and Jose, things are looking a bit bleak.

Wildfires poured smoke in from Montana, leaving a blood moon last week that loomed over Glenrock in its wake. Not to mention the world news of North Korea’s nuclear war plans threatening the U.S., and we (our political figures) have been shouting back in response. As a country we are a bit more frazzled than we are used to. Americans across the country have been scraping together what they can: clothes, food, water and basic living necessities to send to these places affected by Mother Nature’s wrath.

This week, we need to take solace in some of the good things go ing on in the community. The Vollman Ranch celebrating its centennial, economic developments in wind energy, new town hall staff and community policing in action, to name a few.

Get lost in the pages of this week’s edition, then you can tune back in to national crises occurring everywhere else around the country.
