Lady Herd tops T-Town

When the Herd rolled into Torrington on Friday they had one final chance to make their mark before the Southeastern Wyoming Athletic Conference meet, and make their mark they did.
Faced with opponents largely in their classification for one of the only times this season, the Lady Herd put on stellar performance in the short sprints and distance jumps, propelling the team to its second overall win in as many weeks.
The girls were led by junior Isabella Taylor, who finished the day with three gold medals in the 100, 200 and long jump. Freshman Hayden Lythgoe came on strong in the final regular season meet as well, winning the triple jump and nabbing a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash.
On the boys side, senior Filip Zedek and freshman Brigham Partridge showed out in the field events, taking third in the high jump and triple jump, respectively. Partridge added a bronze-medal finish in the 400 to boot.
The Herd travel to Pine Bluffs on Friday for the SEWAC meet.
